Meet our Summer Student!

ICSI is excited to announce our summer student for 2026, Brooklynn Sawatzky!

​

Brooklynn began her career in the veterinary field by getting her Bachelors in Animal Bioscience at the University of Saskatchewan during which she worked with swine, chickens, cats, dogs and bees. During COVID, she completed her diploma in Animal Health Technology from Lakeland College.  She then practiced for 2 years as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in a companion animal clinic in Edmonton. Currently, Brooklynn is enrolled at the University of Calgary completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (Class of 2028).

We are so thrilled to have Brooklynn as part of our team as she is pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and research.
